SkyFinder update
Just an update to my previous post regarding SkyFinder.
Today, I purchased an updated zip code database that includes the latitude and longitude of the zip code in question. Because of this update, we now have over 30,000 possible zip codes in our database.
I'll probably update this database twice a year, as I really don't see a need to update it on a regular basis. After all, how many zip codes really get added in a year anyhow? Not that many, and there's always a zip code that's close by to someplace that should give the proper latitude and longitude anyhow.
Oh well ... go and give SkyFinder a try and let me know what you think. I think that it's a good piece of work.

Ed, What is the status of SkyWay USA? I am a customer and have been in daily contact with the staff.
I cannot send/receive e-mails. I cannot even connect with the .net change, except for the dial-up.
They have no idea what the new Satellite is going to be... other than Az/El which leads me to believe it is Horizon 1.
When are customers like myself going to be provided with the Transponder, LOF1, LOF2, Symbol Rate, etc...
Help! Give me some straight talk.

Ed, I failed to mention that I am impressed with all the progress you have made in the short time you have been there.
It is nice to see SkyWay USA becoming more than just a distributor of Satellite equipment.
Thanks for all your efforts and hard work.
Hopefully, you will stick around and make SkyWay your permanent home.

Some straight talk? No problem. I'll give you the answers that I know and can share.
The jist has been as follows:
We've been building a new satellite system, which I've been mostly responsible for building the infrastructure. We've been planning on making this transition for a while, but have been building it slowly to make sure that it was going to all work properly.
It has been our plan to move SkyWay customers to the skywayusa.net dial-up realm and to create a brand new customer service portal at skywayusa.net. This also included an e-mail change with a redirect of existing e-mail accounts from .com to .net.
Unfortunately, circumstances from the past week has put everything in a stir regarding these plans and we're working diligently to finalize the building of our new services. The most important thing is that we're trying not to rush the process, because we want it to work right. Unfortunately, we really don't have the luxury of time these days.
I'm hoping to be able to give a green light to launching the new platform very soon, but I'm in no way making any promises here.
There's one thing that I think I should say to you and any other SkyWay customer that visits my site. I left a VERY good company because I believe in what SkyWay is doing and where it can go. I'm here to help the company move to the next level. If I can assure you of one thing regarding my time here, it would be this:
I haven't spent all this time and effort to give you a lackluster service. All I ask is for time and understanding so that I and the others on the SkyWay team can pull it all off.
I promise you'll be amazed.
