Wanna know what I've been up to?

- The PC Gurus Web site
- The Crusade for Children

Okay, so where to begin?

Crusade came and went this year. I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I have in the past. I think it was due to a couple of reasons ... but nothing that I'd care to go into here. What I will say, however, is that a core member of our IT team for the Cruade wasn't there and he was sorely missed. That's okay tho ... he's working hard to ensure that our country remains free and I'm proud of him for that. :)

I started working on the PC Guru Web site during the Crusade when I had some downtime. I really got into it the week after Crusade, and I think that it's really starting to come together. As of today, we have 2698 page views on a site that isn't even officially launched yet. I've been working on getting the team to send me bios and new pictures, in addition to adding content in the areas that need it the most. I'm hoping to get some people to submit reviews and things like that to fluff out the site a bit.

Either way, everything is going well.

On another note, I'm on a well deserved vacation this week. I haven't had a vacation since last October, and I was definately due for one. To be honest, I don't think that I couldn've gone much longer without one. I could feel myself getting easily frustrated and angry at the silliest things, so I KNEW that it was time to head out and recharge the ol' batteries.

Since we moved around the apartment, I haven't really had a chance to get on my computer much. I've been using the laptop to surf the web and check e-mail and the like. The biggest problem was that 1. my stuff was disconnected and I was being too lazy to hook it back up and 2. I didn't have a network connection. I fixed both issues on Saturday. I bought myself a new PCI wireless card for the desktop and got myself on the wireless network. I also proceeded to make some sense of my desk. I'm in no hurry though, as I have all week to do it.

I'm definately not in any kind of rush.

On one final note ... I've become a huge fan of the GBA recently. Nintendo has put out alot of classic games like Zelda and Mario Bros, in addition to the already amazing library of games that's currently available. I think I'm going to start making an investment towards a GBA - SP and some accessories for it. As far as the games go ... I'm not too sure which I want yet. I've currently been enjoying Metroid Fusion, and I can see myself getting a few more Metroid games. I also wouldn't mind having some of the Super Mario Advanced games (I think there's four of them now), nor would I mind having the remake of the SNES Zelda game.

Anyhow ... that's all I have for now. I'm gonna run and play some more Metroid.
